I just started a new online green community called A Greener Space. The idea behind it is to give people a way to meet others who are into the green movement and care about the environment. Registration is free as is everything else on the site. Please feel free to give me feedback. I’ll be randomly picking a new member, lets say out of the first twenty, who will receive a copy of Planet Earth: Seasonal Forests & Caves DVD. So joing today!
The smallest country in the world, The Vatican, recently announced that it intends to spend 660 million dollars to create what will be Europe’s largest solar power plant. This massive 100 megawatt photovoltaic installation will provide enough energy to make the Vatican the first solar powered nation state.
The Vatican already has solar power panels installed, but this will completely take them off of the grid. Looks like someone likes clean energy.
Social Media marketing has become an excellent way for businesses to reach potential customers. Basically social media marketing allows businesses reach people through blogs and social networking. A company like IZEA hooks up bloggers and businesses. The blogger chooses to write about companies that his readers will find interesting. It’s a terrific way to promote websites and products. I’ve found many websites these days promoting products. I wouldn’t have found these products without the posts. So, if you are a business needing some exposure to potential and existing customers, you should seriously consider IZEA and social media marketing today. You’ll be glad you did.
Although the Chicago Spire is on hold, pending someone who will build the thing, their website is up and the flash animation is very cool and shows how awesome the Spire would be if it was built. The website can be viewed here, just make sure you have time for the entire animation.
I’ve been thinking about moving my hosting due to the large number of hits I’ve been getting and the server not responding very well. I think I found a good host though, through web hosting choice, which compares all of the webhosting companies out there on the internet. Their site is easy to use, and they put each webhosting company in it’s own row on a table. I’ve heard good things about Blue Host, so I’m kind of leaning towards them, however, GoDaddy sounds good too. And both of them are pretty cheap overall. I would recommend checking out web hosting choice and their top ten webhosts.
I hope everyone has good weekend!
