The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has announced their plan to double the museum’s exhibition space by building an addition in its downtown backyard.

The museum’s collection has doubled in size - to about 26,000 objects - since 1995, when it opened its permanent home, a downtown building designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta.

There are a lot of sites on the internet offering art for sale. I’ve used many of the more popular sites myself, but If you are looking for very nice fine art, you should check out Park West at Sea. Park West at Sea, conducts cruise ship art auctions around the world. They have some truly beautiful paintings on their site. Right now, Linda LeKinff is their featured artist. Linda was born in Paris from French and Brazilian parents. She started her career as a painter at the age of 20. Her art is very colorful and breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and check out her work.

Theo Jansen is making a new nature. He doesn’t use pollen or seeds, but yellow plastic tubes. His skeletons are able to walk on the wind. Very interesting and cool stuff. Check out his website strandbeest.com.
